John + Kat - Engagement Session at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, CT

John and Kat are getting married in less than a month! The countdown is on! We headed to Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT to take some beautiful photos in the gardens and by the water. I love how natural and fun these two were! We explored the park together, admired the flowers and talked about gardening in our own yards. Kat knows an incredible amount of plant knowledge and identified many of the plants in the park and shared some amazing facts! I felt like I was getting my own private garden tour! John is also in love with photography and he was a super star at making sure they had fun while just being themselves. Some of my favorites moments began with John saying, "Hold on... watch this!" You can see some of the results in the emotions and smiles as he scoops Kat up or dips her to land a kiss. John and Kat were both up for anything including walking into the water and climbing onto the rocks on the beach. That's what it's all about! Love, connection, fun and happiness! I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding next month at Bill Miller's Castle. I know it's going to be a great time because with these two, it would be impossible for it not to be!
